Tiarma Sirait is a multilayered performance artist. Everything she touches turns into pink, just as Midas
turned everything into gold. The power of transformation lies at the very heart of the notion of art. Tiarma is a transformer, not only of objects, or situations but also of hearts, since you can’t do anything else but love her.
But if one looks underneath the pink facade, one discovers a history of exclusion and censorship that she once had to fight in her own country, a country that doesn’t allow its people to behave and dress as they please. Tiarma has found her way out of this mental prison, where many people are still dwelling, even in democratic societies.
